Positive: Very nice house with parking right outside the door. Comfortable beds and even the sofa bed was ok. We really liked the outside space in the back, that it was completely secluded and it was nice with the tree that offered some shade. We loved the outdoor shower as well. The area was quiet. The area did look a little run down but many of the houses are being renovated and it is in the old part of town. We thought it was charming. The house was small but offered plenty of space. It was only a three min walk to lots of restaurants. And only a five min walk down to the harbour street. The owner was very communicative and helpful during our whole stay. We will definitely rent here again next time we come to Setubal. We never tried the closest beach, but you do have a beach only 15-20 min walk from the house. If you have a car there are so many wonderful beaches around the coast.
Negative: It is hard to say something that wasn't good with this place. We did have an issue with the front door and a shower handle but the owners would get that fixed immediately so it will not be a problem for the next guest. We were five persons and thought the table was a bit small, also there were only two chairs and one stool. We did want to eat at home a night or two. Would not have been a problem if you go out to eat every day. Another small thing was that the plates were too large for the dish washer. If you put them standing up they hindered the washer arm to rotate. But we just put them on an angle and then it worked fine. As you can understand we were super happy with the place when these are the only things we can think of. Oh, and would have been nice with a net to fish out the leaves in the pool.
